Teens 3 is the level for 16 to 18-year-olds, the final years of upper secondary school. It’s the destination of the KOKOland pathway: English they can use to travel, study and work anywhere.

By the end of the year in Teens 3, every student:

Builds an argument and holds their own in a discussion on complex topics

Writes essays, reviews and reports

Understands English in all its forms

If they want to, aims for the Cambridge certification required by many universities

LANGUAGE LAB — building the language

60 minutes to develop speaking, listening, vocabulary and grammar through communicative activities, group work and Cambridge preparation. English becomes a tool for self-expression, building confidence, fluency and independence.

SPEAK UP — using the language

60 minutes to discuss, express opinions, exchange ideas, solve problems and handle real-life situations in English. DISCUSS • EXPRESS • THINK • COMMUNICATE.

Teens 3: answers for families

Teens 3: two 60-minute sessions a week (120 minutes), LANGUAGE LAB and SPEAK UP, in groups of up to 6 students. Groups are formed by age and level after a short entry assessment.

Because this is the age when English becomes a passport: university, including abroad, study programmes, first jobs. Arriving there with fluent English makes all the difference.

Yes. The KOKOland pathway runs from age 1 to 18 and is divided into stages designed for each age: Babies 1 (age 1) and Babies 2 (age 2); Stars 1 (age 3), Stars 2 (ages 4 and 5) and Stars 3 (age 6); Primary 1 (age 7), Primary 2 (age 8) and Primary 3 (ages 9 and 10); Junior 1 (age 11) and Junior 2 (ages 12 and 13); Teens 1 (age 14), Teens 2 (age 15) and Teens 3 (ages 16 to 18). Each level has its own goal for the year, and children move up one level at a time, together with their peers.
