We start at age 1 with KOKO Babies: songs, movement and sensory play, with mum or dad in the classroom. With KOKO Stars, from age 3 to 6, we focus on listening comprehension and speaking.

Our Koko is inspired by a true story: that of Koko the gorilla, who learned hundreds of signs in American Sign Language (ASL) with researcher Francine «Penny» Patterson, eventually using them to express emotions and thoughts. It's a story that teaches the value of curiosity, empathy and connection. At KOKOland, Koko joins children and teens in every activity and is the symbol of English, creativity and fun: proof that learning can be fun, stimulating and full of surprises.

7–10
Primary school
With KOKO Primary we build vocabulary and reading and writing skills, letting grammar emerge as a natural result of the pathway. From age 7, the first Cambridge exams begin.

11–18
Junior and Teens
With Junior and Teens we develop advanced communication skills, consolidate grammar and prepare students for Cambridge certifications, up to B2 level.

The method
At KOKOland, English is a daily experience that grows alongside children and teens. We follow the natural stages of language learning: first listening and comprehension, then speaking, and finally reading and writing, in a spontaneous, progressive way.

The pathway brings together all four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) through dynamic learning, where the activity changes roughly every 15 minutes, plus a weekly Creative Lab in English for KOKO Stars and KOKO Primary.

Through hands-on labs, projects and activities inspired by different cultures, students learn to communicate for real. English becomes part of their lives: a natural way to express themselves, open up to the world and build solid foundations for the future.
