In brief

KokoCamp is KOKOland's English summer camp for children aged 4 to 12. It's held at Casale dei Pini, in the Itria Valley, Monday to Friday, from late June to early August, and you sign up by the week. From the morning circle to pick-up time, English is spoken throughout: in the woods, during horse riding, in games and in workshops.

Starting from scratch?

The team speaks to children only in English, with a play- and experience-based approach that builds up gradually. Children who arrive without a word of English aren't left behind: it starts with everyday gestures and routines, and the words come little by little.

Already speaks English?

Children who already know English get a whole summer to use it. KokoCamp is open to all children aged 4 to 12, including those who don't attend KOKOland's pathways.

Native-speaker and bilingual teachers, on the coach too.

A typical day

Every day, Monday to Friday, follows the same rhythm: children know what to expect and feel at home. Summer 2026 timings; those for 2027 will be confirmed with registrations.

  1. 8:00–8:45 · On the shuttle bus. Departures from the four stops between 8:00 and 8:45, with a teacher on board: the camp starts right here, in English.
  2. 9:00 · Welcome circle. Arrival at Casale dei Pini: morning circle, songs and the day's programme.
  3. 9:15 · English by age group. A structured hour of English, by age group: 4–6, 7–9 and 10–12.
  4. 10:15 · Horse riding. With instructors from the Dreamer Horse stables: riding, stable work and horse care, on rotation.
  5. 11:30 · Outdoors. On rotation: sport, yoga, woodland trekking, arts and crafts. Always in English.
  6. 12:30–13:00 · Part-time pick-up. By 13:00.
  7. 13:00 · Lunch. For full-time, cooked by Casale dei Pini; outdoors when the weather's good.
  8. 13:45–14:00 · Full-time pick-up. By 14:00.
  9. 14:00 · Return shuttle. Arrivals at the stops between 14:15 and 15:00, with games and songs in English along the way.

Where: Casale dei Pini

KokoCamp is held at Casale dei Pini, in the heart of the Itria Valley: a pine wood with shaded paths, wooden fences and dry-stone walls, where children spend almost the whole day outdoors.

When it rains, the programme doesn't stop: dynamic learning, workshops and team games move to the Casale's covered spaces, while horse riding is made up on later days.

It starts with the welcome circle and an hour of dynamic learning in English, by age group. English then continues in games, workshops and on the coach, with native-speaker and bilingual teachers.

Team games

Team games, football, volleyball, treasure hunts. Children learn by playing together, just as the KOKOland method intends.

Horse riding

Horse riding is a special part of every day at KokoCamp. The activity is led by instructors from the ASD Dreamer Horse stables and changes every day: on rotation, children ride, work in the stables and take care of the animals.

    Towards independence

    Cleaning the horse before and after the activity, saddling it, preparing the tack, leading it by hand.

Helmet on, instructor close by, one to one.

Riding always requires a helmet and equipment that meets legal standards, always with an instructor close by: instructors work with children one to one, at each child's own pace. To ride, families need to sign a consent form and take out the stables' sports insurance, arranged directly with Dreamer Horse, which includes a membership card valid for one year.

The shuttle buses

From four towns, there's a shuttle bus, included in the Full-time + shuttle bus package. In each town, it stops at a fixed meeting point, shared after registration, and there's always a teacher on board: greetings, games and songs during the journey are already in English.

Lunch

Full-time lunch is prepared by Casale dei Pini: traditional Puglian cooking, simple and balanced dishes, fresh ingredients and a rotating menu.

The menu is the same for every child and isn't chosen individually: the only exceptions are allergies and intolerances, to be reported to the school office when signing up.

On arrival, every child receives the KokoCamp welcome kit as a gift: the camp T-shirt, a cap and a welcome gadget. Activity materials are included.

Safety and team

KokoCamp is run by a team of native-speaker and bilingual teachers, holding international certifications such as CELTA, TEFL and Cambridge, selected by KOKOland and trained in its method. Every age group has its own teachers. Places are deliberately limited: groups stay small and are never expanded.

With the shuttle bus, the day starts between 8:00 and 8:45, depending on the stop, and pick-up is between 14:15 and 15:00. The 2027 timings will be announced with registrations.
