The Creative Lab: English you make with your hands.
Every week, from age 3 to 10, there's one session children look forward to more than any other: sixty minutes where English is used to cook, plant, act, build and celebrate. It's one of KOKOland's two weekly sessions, included in the fee.
Why it makes the difference
Learning by doing
New words arrive in the dynamic learning session. In the Creative Lab they're used to make something real: a recipe, an experiment, a play. When a word is really needed, it sticks.
Big and little ones together
In the Creative Lab ages mix. Little ones watch the big ones and copy them, big ones become role models and learn to lead. Everyone shares the same adventure, each at their own level.
Groups of 10 to 16, two teachers
The Creative Lab brings together groups of 10 to 16 children with two native-speaker or bilingual teachers: more chances to talk, more real English all around.

The Creative Lab is one of KOKOland's two weekly sessions: it isn't an extra and it isn't paid separately, it's included in the fee.
A world to discover
Every activity is a reason to speak, listen and understand. In English, from start to finish.
Gardening
Planting a seed and watching it grow. Nature words stick, because they touched them.
Yoga
Animal poses, balance, breathing. The body learns first, and every instruction comes in English.
Art
Colours, collage and arts & crafts: creating together, then telling everyone about it.

FAQ
Yes. It's the second weekly session of KOKO Stars (ages 3–6) and KOKO Primary (ages 7–10): 60 minutes included in the fee. It's not an extra and it isn't sold separately.
Children do real things, all in English: cooking, gardening, yoga, art, drama, music, experiments and world festivals such as Diwali and Chinese New Year. The English learned in dynamic learning becomes something to use.
It's a deliberate choice. In class children are with their peers; in the Creative Lab they meet older and younger children. Little ones learn by watching the big ones, big ones become role models and grow in confidence. Everyone shares the same activity, each at their own level.
No problem: in the Creative Lab English travels through gestures, objects and things to do, with two native-speaker or bilingual teachers alongside the group of 10-16 children. Nobody is forced to speak: first they understand, then the words come on their own.
From age 11, with Junior and then Teens, the week includes two 60-minute sessions: LANGUAGE LAB — building the language and SPEAK UP — using the language. Conversation, communicative activities, group work and Cambridge preparation, in groups of up to 6.
KOKO Babies (ages 1 and 2) has two sensory labs a month, with mum or dad in the room: materials to touch, sounds and colours to discover.
